“We just tried this place tonight and loved everything. Ordered three build your own pizzas, a Buffalo chicken pizza and some garlic balls. Killer crust, dynamite garlic sauce, cheese aplenty and definitely fresh ingredients. Garlic balls boasted heavenly and and more than lived up to the claim. They also lasted about 15 seconds. Myself, lovely wife and ten kids plus guests all agreed everything was fantastic! Just like to add owners were welcoming and friendly, a great addition to St Paul and the Midway. Definitely give it a try, so delicious.”

“UPDATE: My original review was for the old Gnome, but the new version is terrific as well! The wife and I visited this summer for patio dining - we have only dined out a few times during the pandemic - and had great food and service. The service was wonderful, and the mussels were incredible! Original: We have gone to this place for many years, and they have been a great source of craft beer long before taprooms and craft beer bars became ubiquitous. They always have a great beer list - had a wonderful mosaic hopped beer from Toppling Goliath recently. The food is top notch as well, and their dry-rubbed chicken wings are absolutely delicious.”

“This is like an outdoor cafe inside. The place was filled with fresh plants, flowers and patio lighting. There is plenty of sidewalk seating too. This is a brunch, so hours are early in the day. There were many unique options on the menu. I had quiche lorraine, in a puff pastry. Ingredients are fresh and the waitstaff was young, refreshing and casual. I really loved my experience here.”

“A small corner convenience store with a Mexican deli inside selling delicious tacos, burritos, etc. Their red sauce is a delicious roasted medium spice sauce that goes very well with their food. A red and green sauce comes with the taco order; of you want extra, like me, they're .50 extra. The corn was delicious too with all the regular fixings. Customer service was friendly. Perhaps they're renovating right now thus it looks like the photo (see photo). It's good to have this place as another taco option in the neighborhood. Would go back.”

“Me and my Dad heard about this joint from my Grandpa and Auntie. We figured we’d stop by and see what the hype was about. Man oh man was this food good! I ordered the Taco N Madre, and it was bigger than my basket! I also ordered the Chips w/ Salsa, and their green salsa is the right mix of sweet and spicy. I wish I had a photograph of my taco because boy was that baby HUGE! Not to mention, there is exceptional service, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming, never felt rushed either. Definitely will be coming back here again.”

“Went in for restaurant week to try it out as I have never been there. I had reservations for 7:30 and I showed up a bit early. The hostess was very nice and said she would call me shortly. The place was busy but all servers were attentive and really moving their feet. Service was great throughout! The food was good and I ate too much. The highlight of the night was one of our servers. His name is Alex. You could tell he really cared for the customer and had such a positive energy about him. He’s what really made the night phenomenal. My dining experience was excellent because Alex was there. Thank you, Alex.”

The beef brisket is pretty good, not as tender as most briskets I've had, but it's pretty flavorful. I also got an order of Sai Krok, which is also pretty good. “Food was average, ambiance was nice. We ordered a hamburger pink, and it was rare inside and it needed seasoning. The bacon and sauce on the burger was delicious. The chips also needed seasoning and most of them appeared over overcooked. We also ordered chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was moist inside and beautifully fried, but needed salt or seasoning. Same thing for the fries, needed salt. Live music was great and the service staff was very friendly which made the visit pleasant.”
