Had a roast chicken dish that was very good. Tasty and deliciously tender. The sweet tater fries where hot and crisp, served with a creamy marshmallow sauce for dipping them.
All in the party enjoyed their meals as well.
They also have one of the largest selection of on tap beers around.

Awesome new patio expansion. Somewhat limited menu selections but we both found good choices. A burger with sweet potato fries for my companion and mussels in a saffron cream sauce for me. Mussels were in the starter selections but very generous size. Certainly affordable for a lunch at $44 for two including tip. We didn't have alcohol so that always helps keep it affordable.

First time back since the new name and ownership. I was pleasantly surprised! It felt like the Happy Gnome but given a much needed design refresh. Layout is basically the same. Food still excellent. Beer options still total over 50. Great place!

UPDATE: My original review was for the old Gnome, but the new version is terrific as well! The wife and I visited this summer for patio dining - we have only dined out a few times during the pandemic - and had great food and service. The service was wonderful, and the mussels were incredible!
Original: We have gone to this place for many years, and they have been a great source of craft beer long before taprooms and craft beer bars became ubiquitous. They always have a great beer list - had a wonderful mosaic hopped beer from Toppling Goliath recently. The food is top notch as well, and their dry-rubbed chicken wings are absolutely delicious.

Super cool renovated patio with lots of shade on a hot day and service was solid. Food was tasty for the most part. What stuck out to us was that the whole experience felt extremely rushed so wasn’t as enjoyable as we had hoped for a nice meal out with our friends. We definitely understand the need to set table time limits for profitability but it was not welcoming at all when you are being told a 75 min time limit immediately when you sit down and then are given multiple warnings about running out of time throughout the meal. No hard feelings either, just not how I want my money to be spent when dining out personally.
