Ruby's family restaurant

Overall the visit was good. Waitress was personable, very engaging with the kids. Food was pretty good. Hash browns were under cooked. There are a lot of changes since the last owner, (removal of the bar) but still seems dark. I do hope there continues to be improvements and is a staple for the town going forward. Many will miss Emma's, onward and upward!

Visited with a party of 16. We let Ruby's know in advance to save tables. It seems like they did that but had a small wait to move the tables together. Wasn't bad at all

As for the service. The server was quick and got every order correct. Surprised we didn't have much of a wait for our food either.

The food was really good. Many people in my group were satisfied. I even mentioned that Belle Plaine finally has a restaurant to compete with Johan's, for food quality. I got the Mac n cheese with Buffalo chicken. Ate it all. Shared cheese curds with my brother and we ate them all.

The food wasn't terribly priced. Most dishes seemed to be $15-ish dollars.

My husband and I tried Rubys for breakfast Saturday morning. We got our drinks quickly but we unfortunately sat for 40 minutes before our server took our order. After ordering, food came relatively fast and the food we had was delicious. My husband also ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was probably the best Bloody Mary he’s ever had. Our server was very nice and was running around like crazy and also making drinks at the bar, so of course we tried to give some grace and patience being it was their first week open. We will definitely return.

Food and service were great. They seem to be running smoothly for just opening up! Picture is of the Cajun breakfast and the 2 eggs, bacon and cinnamon roll French toast (totally worth the extra $2!).
