You’re eating here for the food, not the decor. That said, Skylight is clean and aesthetically uncomplicated. The food, however, is so good that any judgment of the space is immediately forgotten.

Skylight’s injera is everything injera should be. Every dish on our platter had a distinct personality and flavor profile. Happy to have them in the neighborhood.

I ordered lentil sambusas, tomato salad, and Miser Wot (spicy lentils with injera) and it was all delicious!! I'm not a vegetarian but I love Ethiopian vegetarian dishes and this place did not dissapoint! The sambusa shell was crisp and airy. The lentils inside were very flavorful. The tomato salad had diced beets and was slightly spicy. The Misor wot was just as delicious and of course, the injera was sooo good! I'm so happy to have Ethiopian food in Shakopee! I had my food delivered by Uber Eats with no problems.

New, clean, delicious and reasonable price! Nice to try new authentic East African recipes. Every dish in the menu looks good and tasty.
