We obviously upset the waitress who seated us. She cleared a table for us, but my sons sat down before she "invited us to" She told us that she would have liked to "set our menus down" before they sat. She made certain we knew it. 20 minutes later she came back. Then she told us "ok I'd like to get your drink and food orders now starting with you" We went without the cheese curds for an appetizer and ordered burgers. There was no offer or opportunity to order another beer or drink, although she did bring refills for the kids sodas. I had planned on having a few and letting the wife drive. 44 minutes after ordering and over an hour after sitting down the food was served.

We wolfed our burgers down. Watching it get dark, our plans of a river ride crushed, we should have slowed down out of spite. Instead we asked for the check when our food was delivered. The food was good. Although the somewhat skimpy burgers are very small for the buns. The garlic fries were awesome, I realized about halfway into shoveling them into my mouth.

If we had been 2 people at the bar at 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday I think this would be a great place to eat. From 745 to 845 on a Saturday it's a waste. I hope they tip share because thats the only thing that kept me from being stingy.

Came from out of town. Waited fifteen minutes to order our food and drinks. The waitress was rude, came across very brash, as if she didn’t have time for us. Ten minutes later our drinks came. Fifty five minutes after we were seated, the burgers and kids meal that had been ordered arrived. All burgers came out well done, regardless of the fact that some had been ordered well and some were medium. The chicken nuggets looked like they had been taken directly out of a bag and stuck on a cookie sheet. The saving grace of the meal was the sweet potato tots. they were delicious with ranch, perfectly salted and crispy on the outside. unfortunately the fries were hit or miss. Some were delicious, and some seemed as though they had been sitting for a while. It was a mediocre experience that could have been saved with more attention to detail and better customer service.

One of my favorite little places to get away from it all. Good beer, great food and an unbeatable location right on the banks of the Mississippi. The view alone is worth the trip. If you’re journeying on the Minnesota Great River Road, make a point to stop here.
