I cannot and will not speak of their day-to-day service or menu. This was a Thanksgiving day meal. The meal consisted of 2 choices: Traditional Ham or Turkey. With sides, it was served hot and rapidly. Staff was friendly and attentive, almost to the point of hovering. Great family restaurant full of ambiance and charm. Well worth a stop by.

We have visited this restaurant 50 or 60 times over the years. It has always been consistently good. Great plate lunch.

I am positive they were short handed today. The hostess at the front was asking customers as they walked in if they needed a job. One waitress said she didn't know what to think about people being hired for a job and then not showing up for work. My husband and I stopped in to pick up a couple plate lunches to go and it seemed like it took forever to get them. Wvweyone waiting with us was also complaining. And I sure this was just a result of being shorthanded. After our food finally arrived the order was correct. Nothing was missing and the food was absolutely delicious. This is a wonderful place to eat as long as you are not in a hurry.

Great place for home cooking/ comfort food. My favorites are the catfish and ribs. Large choice of side dishes and desserts. One of the few places to get my favorite food - fried green tomatoes but unfortunately they are not available as a side dish, only as an appetizer. Service is generally fast even on my recent visit on Friday evening. Prices reasonable.

Lunch was great. Some of the best chicken fried chicken I've had. Nice and juicy... Perfect cook. The place has a great country feel with friendly service. If it wasn't so far from work if be here a lot more often. I highly recommend you try this place. You also get 3 sides as a bonus. Tons of food, good pricing and great food... It's a win for me
