Sweet Potato Pie Soul Food Whiskey Cafe

Welcoming and inviting upon arrival. Stopped by on Sunday with my husband, Pastor and his wife to fellowship after a long day. The food was buffet style and the servers did not disappoint with the generous amount of food we received. Items purchased between my party of 4 were sweet potatoes casserole, greens, meatloaf, catfish, oxtails/rice, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, and corn. Everything was seasoned to perfection and not undercooked nor under seasoned. The dining room temperature was comfortable for any guest. My only suggestion would be to have an option for refills and ice available outside of the bottle drinks. Otherwise customer service from beginning to end was superb throughout the establishment. We will return as we are always on the lookout for a southern place to fellowship each Sunday and you now have a new fan favorite customer.

This was my first time there and I will be back. The staff was extremely friendly they helped us understand the menu. The chicken was cooked to order and I was delicious. The only thing that was missing was my cornbread! But I highly recommend if you are looking for good soul food!

Just passing through town and always make sure to find a local place when I travel. What a great place. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and gave me southern hospitality. I did the oxtail dinner plate with fried okra and sweet potato casserole and added a side of catch fish. Everything was hot, and soooo tasty.

Just keep in mind, food cost, labor cost, everything has gone up. So they need to charge accordingly but it’s worth it! I made this my lunch and dinner for the day cause I had leftovers. Great portions and restaurant is clean, modern, indoor and outdoor seating with a bar.

Ohhhh and I got the sweet potato cheesecake!

Great eatery! I didn’t feel like cooking so my husband and I went in with our son who is a picky eater and we all loved it!

Mac n cheese needed a little seasoning but in this day in age you can’t please everyone, it was cooked well and we added more when we got home.

We will be back!
