This charming second story restaurant on Lameuse offers a smooth, relaxing ambiance with a great selection of offerings on their menu. The patio space is where you'll want to be seated if the weather's right. I ate here with family for a Mother's Day brunch, and was pleasantly surprised to hear about a Mimosa flight offered with Brut champagne. It's paired with your choice of 3 juices from an impressive fresh juice selection. Usually it's just orange juice, sometimes cranberry, served with Mimosas, so this was great! I recommend trying the Blackberry. Aside from the drinks, the food was amazing and the eggs cooked just right, I had the Crab Benedict. Throughout our brunch the service was fantastic and very attentive, our waiter made sure to check in on us. The servers also let us know about some fun events they have coming up, they have wine pairing dinners and murder mystery nights, both of which sound fun and interesting. I would definitely eat here again! It was the perfect experience across the board from food and service to atmosphere, One Thirty One was a great find!
Let me start off saying that I think this restraunt is good. My first impression worried me as it was relatively empty on a saterday night, which is not usually a good sign. However, I stayed and wanted to see if the high reviews represented the restraunts quality. I'd say that it did. After ordering the duck poppers and blackberry sidecar, I realized that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Both of these choices are excellent. The duck poppers tasted good. I will say that the bacon and cream cheese were both overpowering, masking most of the duck flavor, but it was tasty non the less. I had the tuna as an entrée, which was cooked perfectly. Someone left a review saying theirs was cold, but I don't think they realize that the fish is seared and not cooked to medium well. The wait staff are friendly, and continuously checked up with me. They also gave me updates on when the food would be ready, as well as asking how I was enjoying the food. I did notice that they seemed understaffed as I only saw 3 employees total. I think I just came on a bad night. This place is not a bad spot for some good food and a nice cocktail. I will mention that they also have two patios, one for smokers and one for non smokers on the opposite side. As a side note, the inside is beautiful, just a shame I didn't see more customers to liven up the place. Cheers!
Enjoy a fabulous 3 course New Year’s Eve dinner. The bar manager and our waiter for the evening was fun, personal and definitely made our dining experience even better. The oyster trio was delicious. The bacon gouda oysters were our favorite! We will be back. This is our new favorite restaurant for many reasons… atmosphere , dining experience, food and drinks.
Amazing meal! Everything we had was delicious! Baked Oysters with Gouda and bacon (order champagne with them), Duck poppers (a MUST order), Pork belly spring rolls (soooo good) and Scallop risotto with lump crab (to die for). Michael is an incredible server with spot-on recommendations. We will definitely be back!
