“Quite a long way from home and very glad to be able to try Wards. They have a gravy like biscuits and gravy that is called tomato gravy. It's tomato and bacon over a biscuit. A must try. Do they serve lunch all day, so I was able to get the big one combo. It's a cheeseburger with chili onion and mustard. May regret it later but it tastes awesome. They also make their own recipe of root beer, which is really good.”

It was confusing to find the space since I parked in the front of the bridal dress shop and then had to walk through to the back, but you can also park in the back and go right into the cafe. Maybe that's because the cook has been cooking for 70 years as the waitress told me. Best red beans/rice, best turnip greens, best Lima beans, best pork chop and Cole slaw I've EVER had. This is well worth a visit when you're in Gulfport.”

“I feel that everyone should experience this place for themselves at least once to know how good their food is. Everything on the menu is cooked with love. The gumbo is absolutely out if this world. The fish sandwich is also the bomb, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, pickles is you like as well. Fresh fish and only 5 bucks. When I say they are the best unheard of short stop eatery on the coast. The first time I tried the McAlister's club, which was delicious. The one pictured below is the ham and cheese, also delicious, and I got a side of fruit (not pictured). They have a variety of different things to try out from sandwiches to salads to potatoes. I would recommend checking it out.”
