An absolutely amazing dinner. We recently moved here from New York City and this was the best meal we’ve had since we moved here. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted fantastic. This is exactly the kind of culinary experience Jackson has been waiting for. The chef had previously lived in Italy and worked in New York at a Michelin three star restaurant, and it definitely shows. Our new favorite go to spot!
My wife and I went for dinner and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is quaint. You can dress up or go dressy casual. We did 5 courses and shared everything. The Daily Crudo was a flavor explosion with some heat. The crispy shallots on it are a game changer. The Arancini was amazing - think fancy, fried boudin ball. The Campanelle was a little too “seafoody” for us, but I think that may be obvious by the ingredients. For our main course we got the Filet, Brooklyn Brussels, and Spicy Fried Potatoes, all of which were phenomenal. The Brussels have peanuts incorporated, which is a nice touch and change of pace. We ended the night with Nilla Wafer Tiramisu and Espresso Martinis. We had an amazing experience, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Ordering multiple courses family style is the only way to go!!
This is an awesome addition to the new restaurants popping up in Jackson. Such a great atmosphere that captures the spirit of eating in Italy 🇮🇹. Small plates are shared with family and friends. If going twice after it open had to make sure the first time was a 5 and yep it was. Check this place out!
Nice experience overall, ambiance is nice and elegant, service is good, food is good. For entrees The pork tenderloin was ordered; not sure if the funnel pollen was overpowering the pork flavor itself so I couldn’t leave without trying the braised short rib and I would return specifically for that. It melts in your mouth and when you pair it with a glass of red wine you can’t ask for more…
The crudo was a nice light treat before the sphaghetata which you can tell the pasta is made fresh in house which I appreciated.
Kind of excited I’m the first review! First off…. a great first opening! This restaurant definitely has a very bright future! First and foremost the staff are excellent! Great customer service. We were also thrilled to see our favorite bartender from fertile ground there(I hope they know they are lucky to have you Kayla)! The short rib was perfectly tender and the potato purée was the perfect texture. They were maybe a tick on the salty side but that’s me being awfully picky. The fried mozzarella and risotto was great, but those pork and ricotta meatballs?! I could have an entire bowl full of them as meal! By far my favorite. I do hope to see a few more Italian dishes on the menu in the future. We will be back before we head back to Texas. The owners and staff should be very proud of their first day! I hope they are!
