Great savory food full of spices and herbs. I wouldn’t recommend this place to older people cuz of how potent the season they use on their food. But the ambiance was just lovely, they play Afro beats while dining in and they give complimentary pancake balls, and of course the food is just delicious.
Very nice spot! The food was really interesting and good! For appetizers, meat pies were 10/10!!! The chicken meatballs were ok, but some may enjoy them! For entrees fufu with the okra soup, fufu actually doesn’t taste like anything the soup gives it the flavor, it was good! The jerk chicken, oxtails, with rice and beans, cabbage and sweet plantains were the highlight! The plantains were terrific!!! We had a juice and i forgot what it was called but it was the one without ginger and it was so delicious!!!
My sister and I had dinner here tonight and I must say it was spectacular. Our server greeted us at the door with a smile & he was attentive during the entire visit. We chose the meat pies for an appetizer, the Wonjo for our beverage & the Ox Tail meals for our entrees. Every single component of our meal was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely also. We were planning our next visit before we even received our first dish. 10 out of 10 would recommend. ☺️
Don’t know where to start lol. Chose to come here because of the reviews. The jerk chicken looked very good from the photos. I didn’t look at the pictures of how the place looked on the inside I was surprised how it looked which was modern and casual. The waitress was nice. After looking thru the menu for 20 minutes my final decision was the jerk chicken. The waitress apologized and informed me she was just told they sold out of jerk chicken so I went with the curry chicken. Let me tell you didn’t know what to expect but it was good as hell. I’m not a spicy food fan but it wasn’t bad at all. Will definitely order it again. Everything was perfectly cooked. The flavors of the dish blend well together and balance other out. Thanks for a nice experience.
New Restaurant in the Jackson/Ridgeland area!!!!! Great atmosphere, design and decor of the restaurant! It's definitely a formal/casual setting. I ordered the Jerk Chicken with vegetables and Red Beans n Rice and Ginger Juice. The food was very flavorful, not to mention my first time having Jerk Chicken 😋. The food stayed heated even when I was putting leftovers in my to-go container. It's a great new restaurant for Jackson, MS communities and a Must Visit 😋!!!!!!
