This is one of those strange places where the environment was unclean but the food and service were good. I used the men's bathroom and it smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple years. They have added these strange table extensions that are filled with old food in the cracks where they added them. The dock out back is literally falling apart. I recommend getting new larger tables instead of whatever idea to make them longer. Rebuild the dock, clean the bathrooms with a deeeeep clean. A remodel wouldn't hurt either. Again though, food and service were good.
Food was delicious. Erin and staff we're very accommodating. We had a very large puppy, and they allowed us to sit on the back patio area of the restaurant. We ordered a lot and fast, and Erin didn't miss a beat. We'll be back .
Yesterday we had a after funeral gathering with our family at McElroy's on the Bayou in their Banquet room.
Over 25 people gathered & had a wonderful lunch, where the staff treated us like family.
The food was delicious, the servers were efficient, the food was cooked & served quickly.
We couldn't have asked for a Better venue for our gathering.
Thank you Mickie, Cindie & all the staff involved in our family event.
First time to eat here for lunch on a perfect day. All the staff were super friendly and our server was so attentive and helpful. She was perfect in how she knew when to stop by and check on us and how to make sure everything was exactly to our satisfaction. My wife and I had the crab stuffed mushrooms with Cajun sauce as an appetizer and broiled flounder as the entree'. I have never had such an awesome appetizer as the stuffed mushrooms; I could have eaten just that for lunch! The flounder was fresh, as though it was caught that morning and the seasoning and broiling was something, that no one can compete with. For one of my side dishes to go with the baked potato, I had a cup of Gumbo. Our server said it was the closest she has ever had to her grandmothers and believe me, it tasted like some grandmother had made it with love! It was in such a light red roux and seasoned just right with enough spicy-heat that I have to put it in competition with any of the gumbos that I've had in New Orleans. My wife had a frozen strawberry Margarita, which was one of the best we have ever tried. It was sweet from sweet strawberries and had no artificial flavor. They blended it perfectly with super fine beads of ice and I had a perfect Old Fashioned mixed precisely. I think five stars is too few for this place!
Good food good service!??
