“Today I was locked out of my car. I was scared and had no way of calling for help because my phone was also locked in my car. I made my way into the po-boy express in hopes of getting help. And what I got was something much more than just help. The gentleman that helped me find a locksmith and helped me call for help was so kind. On top of everything he offered me food and water. The food was amazing and the kindness I received was something so rare and though I was having a terrible time he made me feel safe and cared about. Please, if you’re looking for a good place to get great food with a bit of southern kindness stop in. I promise you will never be disappointed. Thank you again for helping me. “Just had a late lunch at Half Shell today, and it was another excellent experience! Had the crab cake and fried green tomato appetizer and split a dozen raw oysters with a friend. I'd had the crab cakes before and knew they were great, but the oysters were perfect! Briny & a little sweet -- you gotta try them. They're called Southern Pearls and are farm-raised in the gulf! Superb!!”

“The food was very fresh and delicious! My boyfriend got the 3 roll combo lunch and I got the regular sashimi platter with all salmon and an order of gyoza to share. The total was around $42 and change which is such a crazy good deal. I love salmon sashimi so when I asked if they could accommodate that and they said yes, I was so happy. I believe the charge is $4 extra for all salmon which is consistent with other places. Glad they're in Hburg :)”
