“Tried for lunch - good food, quick service. Priced more like a sit-down, full service restaurant, but this is a counter order, fix your own drinks place. Food then brought to your table. Kindof a cross between a fast-food place and a sit-down place. I was looking for something new to try, and it was good. I had chicken and rice - comes with cheese sauce and sour cream. My husband had chicken nachos - they come as pictured - very plain. No peppers/onions/etc.”

We love their sides, we had the grape leave wraps and the cucumber salad. Had another great meal today! Really enjoyed my visit to Big H! The waitress was really nice and attentive. “with all the good reviews I was expecting the catfish sandwich to be out of this world but is just like any other Catfish Sandwich Fillet that I have had all over the country, nothing special. The porkchop was well seasoned as it was very very good tasting. The mashed potatoe was also a delight along with the French fries. “Great service, beautiful restaurant, very good food. Tried the fried green tomatoes with crawfish, andouille and a crab stuffing cake at the bottom with a cream sauce...very delicious. A bit heavy for one person, but good for sharing. The Coraline salad was amazing, 3 jumbo poached shrimp with lots of great toppings, excellent dressing. The Hushpuppies sound really good, but disappointing flavor and very greasy, the plate had a thick layer of oil at the bottom. It could be great item if they make the batter lighter and drain the oil before serving. The Redfish Court-Boullion was the best dish of the night. The fish was pefrectly cooked and comes with 2 large shrimp and crab in a tomato based sauce that tasted fresh and home made, but elevated. Snapper Colaline's was very good. The mushrooms, potatoes, and asparagus are in a heavy cream sauce which is very delicious. The fish was excellent, flaky and fresh, light crispy coating and perfectly cooked.”

“This is a new joint that I was told has only been open a few weeks. They are located right in the small downtown area of Ellisville, MS. My Momma had eaten here before and she reported she liked the pork ribs she ate. During her second visit and my initial visit I sampled the brisket plate and got the sides of sweet potatoes along with the mac & cheese. Now for my part I found the brisket moist although lacking in any BBQ smoke flavor and the sweet potatoes were alright. The BBQ sauce here is of the sweet variety and it was an OK version of a sweet sauce. So after some deliberation Momma decided to get the burger with sides of baked beans along with the mac and cheese. Well Momma was 100% not happy with her burger and she didn't even finish it... Just looking at the burger it appeared quite pathetic and weak as it had the beef patty thickness about the same as a generic McDonald's burger. Momma took about three bites and gave up as she said "this has to have been a pre-made generic beef patty they bought!" To add insult to injury they have a huge sign on the front of the building here that says "BURGERS" so they really need to upgrade their burger game here! So at the the conclusion of our meal both Momma and I agreed the mac & cheese was certainly lacking in the cheese department so we wouldn't recommend ordering that as a side item. Overall my brisket was alright while it would absolutely never win any BBQ competition. To my taste the food was below average for the most part other than most people seem to really love the pork ribs here which seems to be an area they consistently do well with here (I don't eat pork so I have no opinion on the pork ribs). For the general area I will rank this spot a three star but in places with more BBQ options this spot would be two star joint or in BBQ Mecca places like Austin, TX a one star. Another small item of consternation to me here is they didn't have any lemon for my iced tea which so far has been a consistent occurrence in this area at the restaurants I've eaten at which just makes zero sense to me? The folks working here were nice and they did seem to draw a decent lunch crowd so seems plenty of folks like this place and my taste is certainly different from others tastes so obviously plenty of others seem to enjoy eating here which is fine. Remember to like what you like and I will too along with always remembering we all have different tastes!”

“Ordered the past your prime burger. Well done and no tomatoes. I was expecting to get the pickle and grilled onions. But instead it was just plain. Nothing in it. The burger seemed a lot like a frozen premade burger, like a bubba burger. Weird since your business has a butcher in the front of the store. The fries were good and the ranch tasted in-house made. Staff was super friendly and helpful. And the order was ready really fast.”

“It's a Chevron gas station with 87 octane only, and it's middle eastern owned and operated as well as super friendly and aiming to please. Best chicken tenders when fresh. I've not had Carnell's yet. They have a few card tables to sit and eat but they're in a trafficked area. They slip in a variety of other items like jambalaya, red beans and rice, potato wedges, crispitos, pizza, burgers, popcorn shrimp, cheese burgers, breakfast biscuits and more. You can call in orders, too. The Chicken is good.”
