Hokkaido Hibachi Grill & Sushi

This place has the best fried rice around, always nice and funny staff!

Great sushi and great service. All the rolls we got were delicious.

We had some of the best, freshest sushi ever here at Hokkaido Hibachi Grill. We have a place that we have been going to that we really have enjoyed, but we now have a new place to go. I would give five stars but there was only one little blip on the radar. With Covid 19 going on, they have a huge take out or pick-up business going on. We found our wait for our food to be brought to us seemed to be a long stretch and it seemed that their focus was on taking care of the pick up orders. After a long wait I noticed just how many stacks of pick up orders were having to be filled by the sushi chefs while us, like many others were still waiting for food to be delivered around 35 minutes into sitting down and getting drinks. I've never had to wait nearly this long in other sushi restaurants. I know that this really can't be put onto the business, because we know they have to keep the doors open in a very tough pandemic time, so I don't want to hammer them too much on this. I would give five stars but I have to be fair. We will continue to go there and enjoy great sushi but maybe on different days/ times rather than a Friday night during a typically heavy time.

Our favorite lunch spot. Their lunch bento boxes are delicious and cheap. Lunch hibachi is also good. They are very quick with to-go orders.

We always have a good experience with the food and service at Hokkaido. We usually eat at the hibachi table or order takeout, but sometimes we eat sushi, and everything we have had has been good. I prefer to eat my meal hot, straight from the heat, and I like that this is about as close as you can get.

In our experience, the employees are friendly and our orders are correct. In some of the Japanese hibachi restaurants we have visited, we find they don't check our drinks very often, and we run dry and have to get their attention to get more to drink. Hokkaido gets this right.

Hibachi food is, in general, more expensive, but unless you have a really big appetite, there is enough food here per person to take home another meal from the leftovers.

My kids love the fried rice with shrimp or steak or chicken, and they are generous with the meat.
