    Great experience and environment. The food was delicious. Especially loved the crisp fries, pimento cheese balls, and crawfish egg rolls! They even had socially distant seating for each group.

    Good food. Moderately priced.
    We went at 8:00 on a Saturday night and were seated and served in a very timely manner.

    Every experience at The Mermaid Cafe is excellent. Kind and attentive servers, excellent food, and super atmosphere. Definitely has a “Cheers” feel. You’re always a friend here, and they have great drink specials.
    I had a steak from another place in town that is KNOWN for their steaks.... and they can’t hold a candle to the Mermaids filet. Best steak in Jackson. And I know my steak.

    Yesterday, I attempted to call them but I received their answering service. The guy on the other end of the line told me that they would be open that evening. Well, when I got there around that time, they were closed! Please be aware that the Mermaid's answering service will not know for sure if the business will be open.
