This last time, however, we sat in the last place they had available and it was under the air vent in the ceiling. We didn't realize this until a customer sitting behind us told me that the condensation was dripping on my back! Gross. I don't believe it was the employees fault but something could have been said when we were asked if we wanted to sit there.”

“Nice people and amazing soul/country/creole food. Better than what you can get at many places in NOLA, and for a much better price. Definitely a hidden gem worth supporting. They know how to fry the okra crispy and not mushy, and all the other stuff was good too. Hamburger steak on point. They even have the option to pay more for the wings to get all drums (one bone) or flats (two bones). Huge list of sides, including veggies and fries topped with pretty much whatever. Git u some! Nothing at all that we tried was bad, and the server was attentive and made sure we enjoyed our food and experience. Don't let the name fool you. There is a lot more to this place than chicken on a stick (though I wish I had tried that also).”

“The food was fantastic authentic Mexican food. The place exceptionally clean with great ambiance and beautiful decor. Service was a little lacking as no one greeted us and we had to ask if we seat ourselves before anyone acknowledged us and led us to a booth. Once there it was good. The prices on the menu were great 2 margaritas $5 domestic beer 2.50 and I believe the most expensive thing on the menu was under 15 dollars. Truly a hidden gem.”

“Best Roastbeef Poboy in town and their shrimp ain't far behind. Food is so reasonably priced it feels like the menu prices haven't increased since the 1980's. If you want to eat inside instead of ordering to go, when you step in the dining area it still looks and feels like the same burger hangout that it was in the 1960's. Jukebox is almost always playing and the atmosphere is "laid-back small town". Really great food I can't remember when the FROST TOP wasn't there.”

The chicken fingers were very fresh. There was not a long line and the drive-through for Wendy's next door was absolutely packed. “We got the shrimp and gumbo with the 5.00 bag of 2 corn 3 potatoes and a sausage. The shrimp were awesome and so was the gumbo. It all tasted like it was cooked by our very own louisana residents. Even though you can't dine in you can take it home. I would definitely say this is a hidden gem in Picayune. Well worth a look and taste”
