Great food! They've really got something going with the vibes in this place. Just wish the wait staff was a little more cognizant of their tables in order to prevent the customer from having to ask...refills, straws, rest-of-the-order. But overall, we'd definitely go back!

Not my first time coming here. The last time we were turned around at the door because they said they were completely out of food at 10pm, but you close at 11pm. So I decided to try again for the second time. Post Jackson State game we go there and they put my daughter and I at a table by the door. At first they said they were out of fish. But I'm seeing them serving other guests fish. So I got the fish, but they were still out of a lot of things. I just think they are not cooking enough of the food items for that day. The red beans and rice taste like they just added a bottle of hot sauce to them. The veggie bowl was good. The fish was good. Those rolls were to die for!! I think they need to train their servers to place the food on the trays in a manner where it looks more appetizing. I'm not sure if I'll visit again. We left a good tip too.

I’m going to give 5 stars because the owner personally came out and apologized for the experience. When workers (cooks) call out and then another that’s there is not performing that’s something an owner cannot control on that day.

Mr. Godfrey asked us (my high school classmates: Madison-Ridgeland ‘87) to come back Monday-Wednesday and he will take care of all 6 of us.

Let me just say the food is the best ever and the serving size is more than enough!! All of his employee are VERY FRIENDLY! So it’s really difficult not to like this restaurant.

What also gave me a very positive view is Mr. Godfrey coming to table. We never asked for him as we understood that the kitchen was behind on orders. Plus. We are 50+ and should have patience by now. But he came out and said he heard we had a bad experience. He apologized then explained then asked us to give him another chance on him!

This is what you call EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! It’s not about the food or what happened but do you feel appreciated as a customer. And this and the great tasting food is why I give them 5 stars!

I highly recommend this restaurant. And we all must understand that good help is hard to find these days but owners and managers are doing their very best to secure such help!

The atmosphere is impeccable and very relaxing. I attended the grand opening and I knew it would be better. I returned for my second time for a better experience than before. The food takes you through a journey that only a food lover would understand. It’s passion displayed from the decor, menu and the food. My second visit, we sat at the bar and Bre provided us excellent attentive service. Improvement was made on wait time. I definitely recommend this business.

The service was wonderful. The only reason why I didn’t give it 4 stars is because they were out of a lot of things and it was just 2:00 in the afternoon. The greens didn’t taste well. It wasn’t seasoned well at all. Very watery and the cornbread was dry. The rest of the food was good. I would recommend the macaroni and cheese. The fries weren’t Cajun at all. The portions are quite massive.
