“The Onward Store is a great little restaurant about 30 minutes north of Vicksburg on Hwy 61 heading towards Rolling Fork. The prices are a little high, but the food was delicious. My wife and I got the shrimp dinner. We arrived a little late in the evening, and they were out baked potatoes. I was extremely happy with the service. Since they were out of certain foods, the hostess gave us a 10% coupon on our next visit. This is an old store I used to go to when I was a little kid (50+ years ago). It is the area when Teddy Roosevelt went bear.hunting. It's where the Teddy bear first started. This visit is worth the extra time to make.”

“We showed up on noon June 6, 2022 which was a Sunday. This place was packed wall to wall with people. We arrived hungry. The business has eight booths seat which seated four, six bar seats, five tables which sat six, and one table that sat 12 people. I think they have a second dining room but we didn’t see inside it. On the wall above the register hung a grade A health inspection. The business was well decorated. It had a mural on the wall above the entrance. The bar looked well stocked. It was nice and clean. The food was excellent. The only one issue is the bathroom didn’t have paper towels but upon notice from my wife the promptly restocked. If you are close I would stop.”

“Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I give it 10 stars. I have eaten here twice while I was in town and I’m about to make an hour and a half road trip from Madison, MS back to Rolling Fork, MS just to bring my wife to eat here. Chuck’s burger is awesome and so is the shrimp basket. The people that work here are great too. Awesome experience.”
