“We came in to Wally's seafood restaurant the food was outstanding. There were only slight issues they should work on. crab cakes have an amazing sauces. However they brunch the crab cakes in this amazing sauce which causes the wonderful crab cake to soget mushy . Our server Cassy Harwell was an excellent server. Her customer service skills were impeccable compared to other restaurants nearby overall the atmosphere is adequately family-friendly. I would recommend it for anybody of any age. Food did come out hot the salad bar was extremely clean sanitation wise. I would recommend the salad bar for sure. They keep their restrooms sanitary clean there is no fishy smell at all you wouldn't even know that it was a seafood restaurant until you actually saw the menu. The chicken grilled was Cooked well and it's not dry. which was perfect still cut it open with a fork. amazing how juicy and tender it was. I want to point out one other thing our server was so kind we let her know our comments and concerns and she acted professionally and according. Cassy was one the most pleasant severs yet we have had since our stay in Missouri. Definitely ask for her she has customer service down to an art form.”

“Me, my dad, and our dog are going through hard times and we are unfortunately stranded in Poplar Bluff. The staff here have been nothing but amazing! They provided us with plenty of water for both of us and our dog, as well as placing an umbrella at the outside tables since it is super sunny and hot. Some of the customers must have noticed our struggles too because they came out and gave us encouraging words and gave us food. There are truly some amazing people that work here and eat here. Would recommend to anyone.”

“Confused concept that is unsure if they want to be a sit down restaurant or counter style. I stood awkwardly in front of the register consulting a sit down menu at lunchtime prior to ordering at the counter and making my own drink. After about a ten minute wait at my table (restaurant was about 1/3 full), a person I’m guessing was the manager came up to my table to inform me the menu item I ordered was no longer available. She did offer to comp something else for me and suggested steak street tacos which I accepted rather than peruse the menu again. Fortunately, the food was quite good when it arrived. Good plate presentation, well seasoned, and well garnished. I’ll give this place another shot for sure when I’m in the area. I would recommend they shift to a full sit down concept for lunch as they simply aren’t fast enough for the expectations set by counter style. Another option would be to trim the menu (and post another chalk board) to meet the timeline expectations people have for counter style”
