The Tavern at Trails End

We visited The Tavern for the first time this evening, WOW! The food was superb and Chef John has managed to take comfort food the next level. Our table had Sunday Chicken, Short Rib Bolognese and a Pork Chop special. Everything exceeded our expectations. Chef came to visit our table for a bit and explained that just about every dish is homemade and we truly appreciate the care taken to create the amazing food. Can’t forget to mention the excellent service provided by Kelly too! This place is hospitable, warm and friendly and we can’t wait to go back.

If you want something other than bar food, this is the place!! I had the flat iron steak and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and Chef John was very social and personable. There is no doubt we will be back.

Love this place! Came by last night and it is one of the best places to eat at the lake! It’s a definite must try. Amazing comfort food. You can tell that the owners have fostered a great atmosphere in there. The owners, Sherri and John, are friendly and make you feel like you’re visiting with them right in their own home. If you’re thinking about it, just do it!! We had the pretzel, prime rib grilled cheese and tomato soup. Their gooey butter cake is out of this world!

What a great experience. Chef John's passion for creating high-quality food in a top class yet unpretentious atmosphere shines through. Definitely a gem tucked away on the west side of the lake that puts some of the restaurants that call themselves "fine dining" to shame.

Had lunch at the Tavern at Trails End and it was great. Service was friendly and very efficient. You will not go away hungry or sure. Try the Roasted Tomato Soup…..excellent!! Will definitely go back!!
