Cascone's

We've ALWAYS loved Cascone's, but their new curbside service just topped the cake. We called in an order and asked if we could get extra bread with the dipping service because our 4 year old LOVES bread. They had to have given us 2 loaves! Way to take care of your patrons! We will continue to order curbside while facing this pandemic, and look forward to returning to meals inside in the hopefully near future!

Lunchtime bogo was amazing as always. Nice glass of cab to accompany my cannelloni was perfect. The eggplant was spot on and we had more for another meal. The salad and their chicken soup was great. Can't beat the usual monthly special and no reason not to go enjoy often. Karla provided our hospitality and did a great job. Just got into town and wanted a change from the bar food options we had in western Iowa. Did a quick check in restaurants close by.....and this was a hit. Great service and long with good value is what we experienced. I would return.

Absolutely a KC gem and old-school class act of the highest level. Go casual...dress up... whatever. Just be hungry!! Do NOT miss the Italian nachos but beware: they can totally feed 2 people. Everything on the menu is a proudly prepared Italian classic or a plate of delicious decadence you'll be telling stories about. We go a few times a year and love every visit. Treat yourself!

The food seem to be reheated not fresh like normal. The wait staff was totally lackadaisical. No bread and butter to go with all the leftovers that were actually very minimal considering I ordered the dinner portion but was serve the lunch one. The waitress totally didn't care and lost out on a 10% better tip. I'm probably not going to return to one of my favorite restaurants and it's sad.

Do you expect another review of food? Faggetaboutit. Cascone's is NOT a place to go eat. It's a place to make memories and find one the finest old school Italian restaurants in KC. Hard-working families put their hearts and family recipes into these restaurants and Cascone's has survived because the family has stood behind the enterprise and their customers.

Oh, and the food is wonderful, especially if you don't want franchised manufactured food. They have a very large menu and specials that do make my mouth water. I always eat more than I think I can and the portions are large enough to help me out. The other major plus here at this long-time local favorite is the customer service. You can't help but love the friendly grandchild that stops and chats you up at the table.

The crowded dining room is often full and the furnishings haven't been updated for a generation but you want to feel like it's the same place your parents and grandparents made their memories in. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and more find their life in this icon of Kansas City history.
