Food was fresh and good;it was very clean and they offered outdoor seating. Service was outstanding and Covid 19 prevention measures were taken seriously and upheld. And while there were several customers eating there around lunchtime... they were spaced out and it wasnt over crowded.
I had been to First Watch many years ago, and although I’m sure I had enjoyed it, I did not remember it as being particularly special. But I will say that on my recent visits, it is much more upscale and trendy than I remember it being. The decor is modern, but in a rustic sort of way. The pancakes are delicious, and of the three kinds I tried, my favorite is the banana granola crunch, which has the bananas fried right in the batter, where it can be caramelized, which is delightful. The lemon ricotta pancakes and the carrot cake pecan pancakes were good too.
This is somewhere I just keep coming back to! Beautiful healthy options for everyone! Usually I order the lunch specials: 1/2 salad, soup, or sandwich, but everything is worth trying. This is a place where you can enjoy a nice brunch with girl friends every week. I'd highly encourage anyone to just try it once!
So, I had to be out and about this beautiful, sunny, morning. My doctor required me to pay him $15.00 so he could tell me that I was still alive and breathing. This meant fasting! And that will make a grumpy old man even grumpier. So, I decided I needed a dose of happiness and made a trip to First Watch on 152 Highway just west of Liberty.
I went with Hash, Parma style. A nice bowl of potatoes mixed with Italian sausage, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, onions and cheese topped with two poached eggs. It was served with a bowl of fruit, toast and jam. I ordered a side of bacon to go with it, after all one can never have to much pork in ones life. It was both colorful and deliciously flavorful.
Excellent food, large variety and many healthy option/substitutions can be done. Service is friendly and accurate but can be a little on the slow side at lunch time if you have only an hour off. Prices are mid-range. Heads up: the coffee they offer you as you're seated will add just under $3 to your bill.
