Really liked the food and environment. I have a meat allergy and was very glad that they had options I could eat. I had a chicken taco and my husband had the fish tacos that he said were good but didn't have much flavor. Other than that would recommend and will go back.
This place has such a fun atmosphere and the most patient, helpful, and friendly staff. Came in for the first time a couple weeks ago and tried The Hulk tacos. They were mind blowing delicious! I can’t stop thinking about them. My husband had The Roots burrito and he said it too was amazing. Looking forward to our next date night here!
Went by kinda late on a Friday evening. First time there. Interacted with 2 employees who were both extremely nice & helpful. Place seemed very clean, which was reassuring given the current situation. We chose to eat upstairs so we’d be out of the traffic flow. I expected the glass room to be cold in December (I’m cold most places) but it was comfy & gave us a nice view of winter cityscape. Had tacos, which were bigger than expected for street tacos but still finished both because they were so good. Kiddo had nachos with black beans & quickly pronounced them in his top 5 favorite dishes ever. The salsa verde was delightfully fresh & went well with the crispy chips. Everything seemed freshly made yet got to us quickly. We’ll be back soon.
Super thrilled that Taco Habitat was finally able to open their doors.
Love the food! All the components have a fresh flavor and taste!
I highly recommend The Roots taco. Smoked brisket with all the taco accoutrement. The brisket has a great smoke flavor to it, not dry at all, and devoid of the hunks of fat that are usually paired with that cut of meat.
The tortillas are house made. I prefer the flour. The corn doesn't really hold up with all the ingredients , flour holds best. Queso was mild and tasty and the chips were hot and fresh.
Have eaten here a few times now and the quality and services has only improved. Excited to add this option as a regular for our meals out.
Environment is also fun, clean, and they have a great outdoor eating area that I can't wait for nicer weather, to try.
Highly recommend!
Bright, clean and efficient. The tortilla chips that came with my Philly street taco were amazing. Topping my beautifully-built taco with their verde sauce made it just right. The upstairs not only has drink refill convenience, but also a great view of Glenstone while you dine. Restrooms were spotless.
