HyVee is always good for a good fast meal at a great price

Neighborhood bar. Good place to grab a quick craft beer and have some good conversation. The express dining portion is a bit inconvenient to order but food is good.

Some of the prices are quite steep, but the portions are actually quite filling. I would recommend only getting the "lunch size," as it is available all day, and not only during lunch hours.

It was quite ironic that the HyVee coffee was served in a Caribou Coffee cup with a Starbucks Coffee sleeve. I don't think they fully thought that out. I'm sure the competitors wouldn't like that much, but at least everyone is getting a piece of the marketing.

If you do order an app, be sure to ask if it comes with a salad before purchasing an additional or even side salad.

Also, check your ticket before paying. As with most places, the host tend to make a mistake with overcharging when there are more than two things ordered. No exception here.

They did get it corrected, but it usually takes a while. There weren't many complaints aside from the prices. Sundays are half price apps, so always check out the specials before going!

The menu also needs to be updated, as there are a few things missing that we had to ask the staff about, and they didn't seem the most knowledgeable. It needs to include the buffet price.

The guy helping us also didn't know the difference between the tostadas and the flatbread. The menu said it was the same thing, but he said it wasn't. One of them would be incorrect. After ordering, they were clearly the same as a regular flatbread. That only upset me because we already knew that, it said it on the menu to confirm, and he gave this smuggish condescending response as if WE were the ones who said something wrong.

Overall, decent. The chips were really salty, though.

I've eaten here a couple of times and service has always been good and the food pretty decent. It's a bit pricey, but they do send out a lot of coupons.
