Salty Iguana - Independence

A 3.8. This place was a delightful find on one of recent road trips. Fast service with great options for appetizers and Bar service. Fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. My wife and I both enjoyed the good food with very good prices.
Waitress was very attentive and friendly.

This was my first visit to the Salty Iguana and I was not impressed at all. The drinks were Great...REAL GOOD but when it came to the food it LOOKED really good but had NO FLAVOR and was very bland. My order came out and it was very dry and almost to the point of being burned. While there the fire alarm went off and there was no reassurance from management that it was a false alarm which was kind of odd. I will return for the drinks not for the food. Chips and dip maybe.

Always amazing! Mackenzie our waitress was just great even though she was swamped. The $5 margaritas are always great. We also had the chicken quesadillas which were perfect!

I really like their Taco Salad with either the chicken or the beef. They also have great tasting warm chips with mild salsa to munch on while waiting for your meal. The service is always terrific. I love the interesting murals they have painted on the walls very lively.

Took my girl here for supper, she ordered the carnitas, she said that they were on the bland side and could have been seasoned more. I got the steak fajitas. The steak was flavorful and cooked well. Although the cut of meat they use made it chewy. The vegetables were grilled nicely. The pricing for the meals is a bit high in comparison to other local venues. The price per individual taco was almost $4.00 each. I wont make that mistake again. The waitress was friendly and very attentive and helpful. Kudos to her. I wish I remembered her name. Shame on me...
