Denny's

1/30/2020 - Denny's in Raytown is convenient to my home and my boys love going on a Tuesday because they eat free with my wife or me. I appreciate the free WiFi which is actually fast for a restaurant. Don't forget to check they're "value menu" on the table - great deals in there.

Tonight I saw a coupon from Denny's in my email offering a free "Beyond Burger" with purchase of a drink. I'd previously told myself there is no way I'll buy one of those for a couple of reasons;

1) I love farmers and farming families. I want to support cattle ranchers.
2) I really love beef; ground, steak, ribs or other.

I wasn't really impressed with Hardee's veggie/sow sausage biscuits, and I didn't want to try again, but the price was right. It didn't come with ketchup, so I tried my first bite without. My first sensation was that the bread was chewier than expected, but that three flavor was like a real hamburger. I decided to add ketchup, and I really enjoyed the burger.

In my fear of being disappointed I had already ordered dessert, but I really enjoyed my whole meal. Rachel checked on me frequently and was delighted I enjoyed my meal do much. I'll be back. I'm unsure I'll post the same price as a real burger, but if priced better, I may grow to eat the "Beyond Burgers" more regularly.
