I've had dinner here once, and met for drinks another night. I love their atmosphere and the customer service is always great. DELICIOUS food that I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique dining experience with a feeling of old school charm.
If you're a localvore, this is the place for you. As far as I can tell, it's never been hugely crowded and there has almost never been a wait. They work with a truly large list of local farmers and producers here in the Kansas City area. Good food, incredible atmosphere, and there is a rooftop patio that you won't want to miss come spring.
Cozy feel, homey vibes and caring people. Great place to grab a bite alone or with friends. I'd highly recommend it but make sure you come ready to eat. Fair prices with great portions. ????????????
I enjoyed my experience here. Service was good. The Shakshuka was very good, but a little oily. The chicken and biscuit had too much biscuit and it was on the dry side. The thing I 100% don't like is that the coffee is in a French press and you don't get refills. This is absolutely silly for a place promoting brunch. The price is also too high for one cup of drip coffee when for the same price I could get a latte.
FRIENDLY employees!! Loved that our waitress was relaxed and squatted down when talking to us. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy, and yet has high-end food! The meals are big, and very filling! The decorations - you drink from a mason jar, but it feels refined. There is a bar, but still plenty of room downstairs (inside), or upstairs (outside) for a whole family/group to dine together.
