Cigar Box

I have lived in the Kansas City area my whole life. How did I not know about this little gem a block and a half away from the Power and Light District? Amazing food, great nostalgic atmosphere, attentive service . . . A couple days before Christmas, four of us went here for an early dinner. We arrived during Happy Hour, so the well drinks were two for one. The shrimp appetizer and the beef filet medallions were FABULOUS! We were so sad to miss the lounge singer, Al, who we were looking forward to seeing perform. He was on "holiday."

Place was just fine for the size of the building. Workers were friendly. DJ was good.Drinks were poured right and not expensive at all

I liked it. I took a date here and had a great time. The bar tender was nice. The fillet mignon was cooked correctly. The singer was entertaining. The bathroom was clean. The cigars were old, and there's no place to smoke one. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. I do like it here, though. I would absolutely take another date here.

Absolutely amazing. I went there with my family for my 21st birthday and Al made sure to make it special. Will definitely be returning.
