Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant

Hands down the best deal on the best tacos in town, every Monday. My wife says the best margaritas she's had anywhere. Terrific selection all prepared well and served hot by the hardest working staff you'll find. This week we enjoyed the ever popular Jalapeno dip burrito and chicken burrito as well as the obligatory margaritas for carry out but we can't wait to come in a sit at the bar! Thank you for bringing fine Mexican cuisine to us in Brookside.

I've been eating at Jalapenos in Brookside for more than a decade, it's that good. This family-owned and operated restaurant prides itself on quality of their food and their customer service. It doesn't matter which day of week or time of day you're there, you'll always receive the same top-notch food and quick, friendly service. Complimentary chips and salsa are a bonus!

I like this restaurant. I have dined here on different occasions with family or friends and meet up time. The food is always fresh. I like Monday buy one get one free tacos and other specials they offer. I would give it four stars if it was not one particular waitress that serves me. She only smiles at the guest when she is serving them. I often have to ask her twice for something I need. I usually tip the waitresses nicely. The last time I did not tip this one waitress at all. I say her pick the receipt up to look at it and I smiled.

Food was great, served piping hot, large portions. Complimentary chips and salsa.

Service was efficient and pleasant. We had a group of 6 for a weekday lunch and the server didn't mind at all that we asked for separate checks. Drinks were constantly refilled, checks were brought promptly (but not until we were all finished eating, hooray!), dessert was offered but not pushed.

I enjoyed the Tamale Spread, which was way more food than I could eat and only $11 something. Two giant pork filled tamales covered in more pork, topped with sauce and cheese, rice and beans on the side. So good. I took home more than half of it.

Other items ordered at our table were fajitas (enough for 2 people to share), chicken salad, steak salad, ranch salad. The salads were served in crispy flour bowls with dressing on the side and lots of meat on top. The fajitas were served with lots of meat, grilled veggies, warm tortillas, and heaps of guacamole and sour cream.

No disappointments here whatsoever!
