Kari's on 39th

I've eaten at Kari's twice and highly recommend it. Wonderful food and service. Tonight I had the mixed appetizer plate. Very filling! I'll definitely return.

Kari's graciously accommodated our large group of about 15-20 neighbors last night. Everything went so smoothly and the meal was so enjoyable! They arranged our tables in a half circle, so everyone could pretty much see everyone else which was lovely. Our food arrived in good time and they even prepared a separate rice dish for someone in our group with special dietary restrictions. I ordered the vegan Mahashi, a unique dish of stuffed zucchini and mini eggplant. It was perfectly cooked and the tomato sauce so fragrant. I'm sitting here making a mess of the baklava I brought home, as I type this. Delicious, thanks Kari's family, for your amazing hospitality! I will definitely return.

The food is delicious and you get big portions definitely worth it. The staff/ Owner Kari, waitress Melody and cook are so down to earth with a great attention to service.

We were lucky to find this place on their soft opening day and were quite impressed! Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. I had the chicken shawarma plate with rice and baba ghanoush as the side. The baba ghanoush was just the right amount of smokey, the rice was flavorful, and the shawarma and sauce nicely done. My husband and friend had the shawarma sandwich with fries; the fries were seasoned with zaatar which was a nice touch. If they ask you if you want regular water or flavored water, get the lemon mint water. The infusion level was great, neither flavor being overbearing and it was refreshing. We will be back!
