Before Children, my husband and I would frequent La Bodega fairly often. We decided to take our children for the first time tonight. We had a reservation, but were unfortunately by a table that was extremely loud to where we couldn't even explain to each to each other what was on the menu. We said something to one of the waiters who then got, who I believe was a manager who offered us a private room as it was not reserved until a little bit later. It was absolutely the night the perfect dinner! They took such good care of us and we could not appreciate it more! And, the food is just as delicious as I had always remembered it! Thank you for going above and beyond to make it such a special time for my family.

I come here often and it never matters if I'm here with friends or by myself, LA Bodega never fails to offer a good experience. The wait staff is always friendly and the wine is excellent. If you're looking for a more upscale, Spanish place to eat, this is the place! This is a great spot for a date night, brunch or even a casual get together spot. I do recommend reservations on busier nights like the weekend! I will continue to be a customer here!

I give this place a 4 due to the seafood paella. It was overcooked and super crunchy. The mussels didn't smell right so I didn't eat them. The seasoning was not there.

You know what, this place was awesome and deserves a 5 anyway! If you're coming for the paella, order tapas instead and prepare for a culinary expedition of flavors.
The tapas were flavorful and their temp perfect. We ordered both hot and cold dishes just test attention to detail with temperature. Our waitress was amazing. We ate outside and she made sure to top off our water everytime. We talked to another staff member there and he was awesome. Overall, this place deserves 5 stars regardless of the crunchy, under seasoned, paella. The atmosphere, the staff and the Tapas are AMAZING!!

October 2020 was my first visit here. The atmosphere was very nice. The outdoor seating area was cozy and there was quite a lot of space and tables. The food was amazing, but be aware, the portions are very small. The service was good, and even though they weren't busy it was a bit slow. Our server might have been new but she didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu. I would probably visit here again.

I must admit up front that I was not overly excited about my trip to La Bodega. It had been a rough week and as a somewhat picky eater, I was worried that they would not have anything I liked. Arriving in the area it was fairly easy to find a parking place and on the walk up to the building I was already impressed with the atmosphere. Making my way in the front door, I was directed to the "chef's table" that was literally off the kitchen. The smell of the restaurant was amazing and the hostesses and servers were super nice. I asked for a drink suggestion and ended up going with my favorite go to, which was amazing. We were gathered for an office dinner and our boss does nothing cheap. We got multiple plates of a very large portion of the menu. Every plate was better than the last. As a fairly picky eater with a few food allergies, I was able to find several options that worked for me. This is my second time to live in Kansas City and I think that I may have found my favorite restaurant. It wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. Sharing the various small plates, the sounds of the kitchen in full production behind us, the quality of service, the short chats with the chef, and the enjoyment of good company. I cannot wait to go back!
