Ollie's Local staff is as welcoming and inviting as they come. The food is genuine and local to Kansas City and the music is supportive of local artists and community. We highly recommend this bar and restaurant seven days a week!
I want to love Ollie's Local. I like the way it looks inside, I like their little patio, I like the location. But there's simply a lot of things that make my experience disappointing whenever I go. I keep going back, because I want to like it. There's a bartender there often and he has zero customer service skills. He never greets, you have to wave him down and make an order - even when it's dead in there. He never checks back to see how you're doing. I have also been there when there is live music and they really need to vet their musicians better. It has ruined my experience at times, the performance was so terrible. But I do love that they have Le Fin du Monde on the menu, as well as they have a good beer menu in general. Their happy hour is one of the best in KC. I like most of the food items I've had there. I think they can do better and I wish they would because I could really be a regular there.
Always a good time, great music and delicious food ☺️
Loved the food. Wings were probably the best I've had in a long time. Service was phenomenal. Michael was a great server. Definitely try the wings. We will be back
Solid food, a nice selection of beers, great service, and a prime location.
The seating layout/system is a bit weird, but it's mostly fine.
The sandwiches aren't game-changing, but they're consistently tasty. I've never had a bad meal or happy hour here.
This location's previous restaurant failed quickly. I really hope that Ollie's sticks around for a long time.
