Great food, drink, prices and service! Entrance door is on the backside of the building. It does not face the main road.

You are transported to the Old West as soon as you walk into this restaurant! I love the decor! The food taste so fresh but I would love additional spices in the food to go along with the decor and atmosphere. The margarita was prepared extremely strong and you get your expectation of liquor, but I would've liked the menu to have more female friendly cocktails! I will be returning to try all of their specials! And of course for Bill Murray!

Party of four for dinner and it was a slow evening judging by the number of open tables, and chairs in the bar area. From the time we entered, we didn't feel welcome. Tall woman with dark mid length hair who was taking names for the wait list was aloof and borderline rude. I heard her complain to another patron she wasn't happy being there that evening. It was the holiday season and she was having to work that night. She may have been a manager. Most of the staff was more occupied with watching some sporting event on all the TVs.
We requested a booth and were seated, when a short time later, another person comes by and tells us we were going to have to evacuate the booth and sit at a table. We already had Margaritas, chips and salsa and told them we would not move.
We were celebrating multiple late birthdays and it really set the entire experience beneath expectations.
A huge ornament that was hanging from the ceiling fell to the floor almost hitting a server walking by our booth as well as one of our seated friends.
Our waitress was very nice, upbeat, quick and efficient. She saved what would have been a totally dissatisfying experience. We may never return. There are many fantastic Mexican restaurants a stone throw from Ponaks. Time will tell.

Went here Saturday around 4:00pm. Our group of 4 had about an hour wait but it was well worth it. They literally have the best margaritas in Kansas City. Great flavor and very strong. I will keep coming back to this OG KC Mexican restaurant!!!

Delicious Mexican food! Located on Southwest Blvd across from El Patron, there is usually plenty of parking available. The food is great, the service is even better! Their waiters and servers are always happy and friendly. Prices are decent. Check out their Taco Tuesday special, which are three pork brisket tacos with a BBQ-style salsa (see pic)! There is plenty of seating plus a great outdoor patio and the decor is unique and interesting. They do have occasional drink specials ($1 off Boulevard beers on fridays).
