Dowd’s Catfish House

Only had bottled domestic beer that I don't drink. I'm more a draft, craft and/or import kinda guy. Plus the lettuce in the salad was a little old/brown looking.
Other than that, the Spicy catfish was hands down some of the best I've ever had! Even asked for a pitcher of sweet tea for the table, and was immediately brought one!

Been coming here since the early 2000's.
This place is known for their specialty in catfish fillets, nicely cooked golden brown & delicious. Nevertheless I made a regrettable decision to order the ½ lbs burger. The burger was mediocre at best, (typical frozen patties you get at your local Walmart/Kroger) For a total of $9.66 this burger was filling but lacked in taste & texture. The wedges were good, but is a ridiculous small portion of only 4 wedges! (Real cheapskates on that issue)
Next time I will only stick to the catfish fillets.

We ordered catfish sandwiches, enjoyed them immensely. The breading was crispy, the fish tender. Served on a large hamburger bun, the 3 pieces of Catfish, the lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions just fit in the bun. The little container of mayo based sauce was perfect. I live in California, and will route my next trip to stop at Dowd's for another sandwich, they are that good.

Taylor was an awesome waitress!! There was around 8 tables in for lunch she took care of all of them perfectly!! She had a very kind disposition and was very attentive! This is the best catfish we've found since I've moved to the lake area 11 years ago! We will definitely be back! All sides and food were perfect!
On a sidenote, they have the good ice!!!

The absolute best catfish I have ever had!! Hands down!! BBQ is also very good but you have to try the catfish. It is amazing. They are also do a fantastic job with catering too. My wife and I had them cater our wedding and it was amazing. They have a portable dryer so that is you order catering for a certain amount or more they will come out and fry their catfish at your event. They are also easy to work with when planning an event. Everytime I visit Lebanon, this is a place I for sure go to!!
