Fantastic food, amazing in both quality and quantity. Server staff is fun, excited and kind. And the atmosphere is WONDERFUL. The decor features coral, sea shells, and all sorts of lovely items!

Food was OK at best, staff was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere is unique and inviting. But for those looking for quality Seafood at a fair price look elsewhere. Menu is very limited and based on 1 meal it's worth about a third of the price.

A hidden gem in NW KC. On a whim walked into this place at sat at the bar. Seafood is their specialty but they do steak as well. Ordered clam chowder and prime rib. Great service, huge serving, and very reasonable prices. Did I mention how nice the restaurant was decorated? The owner clearly put time into giving this place its own unique theme (you'll need to visit to see what I'm talking about).

My wife and I dined on the patio last night, then later toured the inside. How in the world could we have not known about this place?! Outstanding experience - great menu, excellent food, nice wine list and the chef and rest of the staff were terrific! I highly recommend the Reef - we will certainly be back!

Anything to eat within walking distance?" That was our question at the Holiday Inn counter. The registrar graciously indicated The Reef, just across the parking lot. How good can it be in such a nondescript location? We were skeptical. But rather than disappoint, The Reef was a transforming dining experience. Both service and food were exceptional. Sit, have a glass, there's no pressure. We knew we had hit on something special when the skewers of seafood we timidly ordered as appetizers turned out to be fabulous. We put aside our doubts and confidently ordered dinner. Steak was the right choice; ours was as succulent as Kansas City is famed for. The Reef has the atmosphere of an undersea grotto, intimate, romantic, intriguing. Ethereal soundtracks usher you into dreamy enchantment.
