“I wanted to give a 5 star review. I really did. The food was INCREDIBLE! The breakfast skillets and crepe's were delicious. But having to deal with the teenage staff who had an excess of attitude and a desperate need of manners dropped it a star and then walking into the bathroom almost made me give 1 star. This bathroom was HORRIBLE. The entire floor was sticky, the toilet lid slides off and there was literal sh*t smeared on the wall. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and made me want to turn around and just leave.”

“I occasionally eat with coworkers and friends at the lunch buffet. For the price, there's a good variety and always fresh. It's a little frustrating that they're always out of ranch at the salad bar but it's popular. When I let someone know, it gets taken care of. Amy is a great server. Always friendly and you can tell she remembers individual customers and their habits. She takes empty plates away without practically grabbing it out from under me like some servers do at other places. Drinks stay full too. Really great, friendly, well dressed staff and awesome service.”

“Excellent food, the Tenderloin would be my recommendation and personal favorite. It’s huge and very reasonable priced. Good group of people here, I make sure to stop every time I visit. Ownership and staff couldn’t be better. Best Cook in SLATER. The desserts are awesome as well. Should have opened this up years ago, impressed with what you all have done in the few years it’s been since you opened. You all gonna be having anything for thanksgiving? I’m from The area originally and don’t get back often enough. Catalpa made me feel good. Used to always do the Tavern. Now I’m going to turn off Main and head to the “suburbs”. Very special, (the Tavern is good too). Props to the only review that isn’t 5 Star. The most confusing narrative I’ve read in a while. Don’t agree with the rating either. Go, and enjoy!”
