Augusta Brew Haus

A friend and I visited this small brewery yesterday. We arrived mid afternoon on a Wednesday and there were 5 others at the brewery. The setting is absolutely fantastic with tables on the lawn about 100 feet from the Katy trail. we sat at the outdoor bar and chatted with the friendly bar tender. Of the 8 beers they had on tap, we had 4. A black lager is a rare find at most craft breweries but augusta's was true to style and very nice. All the beers we tried were in our opinion spot on as to style. Their tannhauser is akin to an American pale ale, not as hoppy as say schlafly"s APA, but still tasty. I felt the best of the 4 was their IPA. We did not have any food. Overall we had a good time at Augusta brewing would recommend this place to others who enjoy craft beer.

Came in for a quick snack and cold brew. The service and brew was great. I know this is only a search bar for places to go but look them up on there face book page for current events and specials.

I stopped in gear cycling from Lexington Virginia to Kansas City Missouri. It's off the beaten path but well worth the stop. I had a massive turkey wrap and a salad. Both were fantastic. The setting, the breeze and the host were wonderful. Highly recommended!
