Easily my favorite find since I moved to the STL area. Amazing food at a fantastic price. I always get the junkyard john steak sandwich and it never disappoints. Not a large place so I don't recommend large groups, very casual, and it can get a bit loud. I have told everyone I know about this place.
Restaurant was set up very well giving a friendly hometown neighborhood bar/restaurant vibe. Food was really good and came out quick even when busy. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Only downside is they charge a convenience fee for using a credit card.
We were referred to Hobo's by the gentleman who installed our blinds. The food was very good and the prices aren't too shabby. I love the fact that it is inside the American Legion hall and patriotic items are everywhere. I wish they offered a military discount other than eating in full uniform as we are not ones to just go and eat in uniform.
Ate dinner here the other night. Got the full chicken dinner. Was pleased on how moist the chicken was but the skin was just a little to crispy for my liking and I like crispy. The sides where also very good. Spicy BBQ beans along with a flavorful corn with diced red peppers. Well priced and waitresses where very nice. The crowd was a little old so you know it was a good deal for the retirees.
Rustic, friendly local bar/diner. Although I'm told there is normally a long wait we were seated immediately and service was excellent. Brittany was our server and was helpful and patient while I looked over the expansive menu with interesting names for the fare. I settled on the Oklahoma Joe which was smoked brisket rubbed, lightly sauced, served on toasted rye with their slaw, which made the sandwich! Excellent but filling along with a side of twice baked potato casserole. Also tasty! Great evening!
