Chicken Out Kirkwood

Always excited to see a new place pop up in my area. I had driven by a few times to see that the drive thru was always busy.
My first visit was for a lunch.
A little pricier than competitors - a sandwich meal (side + drink) will run you around $12-$14.
The Spicy “Nashville” chicken out sandwich was good - the chicken was maybe a little over-cooked / dry, but the seasoning, bun and sauce were yummy.
The crinkle fries were great and lightly seasoned a little different than most other places.
I like that they have salad options and will come back to try that.
During the 30 minutes I was there for lunch, there seemed to be about 3-4 returned orders - one from in-restaurant and the others from drive thru. It was all handled amicably and I will assume it is a combo of still being new-ish and a rush at lunch.
Atmosphere is big and open. Kinda cold and the music can get loud.
Worth a try - something a little different in an area that should provide traffic.
They offer shakes but I did not get one.
For kids - the main menu is standard enough, but they also offer chicken strips and grilled cheese. Mac & cheese is a side option too. (Hey, I know my kids, so I gotta get those last selling points in!)
They do offer some alcoholic beverages in the cooler.
They have two clean gender neutral bathrooms.
They have 4 tables for dining outside.
Coke products.
Once the rush cleared, one team member did come to check if I needed anything. (This may have bumped my original four star to a five…)

Great experience! Loved our dinner. Really good chicken salad and their fries are great! Really enjoyed Tanks recommendation for the Onion Rings. Very friendly staff!

Kirkwood, Missouri has been waiting for something this good. The Nashville Hot Chicken is the best in town

First tried Chicken Out chicken while at a Blues game this season (2021). Super yummy! I saw that they opened this Kirkwood location, which is way closer to my house, so I was stoked to try it out.

The Delmar location had shared a 'secret' menu item [Cheesy Chicken Fries] and I rolled the dice, asking the cashier if they had it there. Yes they did and it was GREAT! It was a ton of food - see picture - but was made fresh to order. Giant chunks of tenders, fries, bacon (BACON!) and oodles of cheese sauce.

Lots of other goodies on the menu, so I can't wait to go back. Do yourself a favor and swing on by. :)
