“More than a simple burger joint, Carl's is truly a St Louis experience. Flat burgers done the right way, Carl's still feels like a slice of history as the two sided, bar seating only "drive-in" is a fantastic atmosphere for consistently fantastic food. Root beer in a barrel, homemade shakes, and crisp french fries help to complete any meal at this cash only establishment. Highly recommend visiting not just once, but as often as possible. I try to make it a point to go every time I'm in town, and have yet to be let down even with my ever soaring expectations of this classic.”

“My first visit and I had high expectations. We went through the ridiculously long double drive-thru lanes and it moved very quickly! Staff actually tends the lines, lets you look at a menu, takes your order, you pay and everything is waiting for you at the end of the line. Very efficient! I ordered the grilled chicken pieces which were delightful, well-seasoned and tender. Waffle fries were yummo and the sandwiches and wraps were very tasty. The diet lemonade was delightful! I needed to add a bit more sweetener, but it was lovely. Oh, yes! I'll be back!”

“Great food, but poor management during busy times. While it is not their fault if they get a large influx of orders, they did not even attempt to contact those with pickup orders to alert them that food would take longer than indicated. By longer, I mean 20 minutes of waiting in the store for pickup past ready time. Most online ordering services have an option to contact customers. A simple text or email to alert customers of the extra wait time would have been considerate, especially during a weekday lunch.”

“This place is fantastic! I can't believe I lived in St Louis for three years and never tried here before. The Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious and prepared exquisitely as seen from the photographs. Had a really good lunch here yesterday. The lunch specials are numerous and delicious as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves pho, or Asian cuisine in general. Thanks you guys!”
