hands-down my favorite mexican restaurant. It's so freaking good!! Go there ASAP!
This place has very authentic Mexican food. The best I've had in St. Louis area. I've had better in Mexico, but this place is very close. Their menu is very complete. Given the variety of flavors available in various areas of Mexico, this place does a good job of covering them all. We especially like that we can get tongue tacos here. They are my wife's favorite.
Amazing tacos. Beef cheek tacos, why yes please! Flavorful, tender, awesome. I also tried chicken, "regular" beef, pork ... All equally amazing with nicely hot side sauces. I will definitely go back. Little hard to find, and not much to look at from the outside ... But worth the stop.
Good tacos and great prices. The staff is very friendly and service is quick.
My two concerns that cause a three start review are that:
1. Google maps claims they have "tacos, tamales, blah blah blah.". But they don't have tamales. There is no online menu (because this is a small family owned place, which is great) so we had a daughter that was a little upset about that.
2. The children's menu is pretty sparse. The chicken nuggets and fries was good for my son. I didn't expect that on the menu which was nice. The cheese quesadilla didn't go over as well. Loaded with a pretty salty white cheese. Kind of hard to get down. My daughter did says she loved the rice.
Great for young adults. Cheap, delicious tacos. Not much of a hit for families with kids.
Giant portions of flavorful food, tender meat and spicy sauces. I can't wait to come back. Unfortunately I was already digging in before I remembered I should have taken a photo.
