“This was my first time here. Definitely more upscale than the outside leads you to believe. However it still has a homey neighborhood restaurant feel. The service was exemplary! The food was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the stuffed fillet of sole. I do not like baked fish at all, never have, until now. I had the chicken mudega, it too was very yummy and the portion size was enough to take half home for me.the appetizer sampler was very good. They have some of the best toasted ravioli in our city in my opinion. We will definitely be back!”

But I have to say their chicken and onion rings are Awesome! The chicken was tender & seasoned well & breaded just right. It was not overly salted. Because salt doesn't equal well flavored food people. Their food is very flavorful. My mom has a problem when the food has too much sodium in it and she DID NOT have that problem here. I'm going to have to come in and get me a plate or if I have time sit in and eat. This may be my new favorite chicken place, plus I heard they do SHRIMP too!????????????”

“Compared to the other Thai restaurants in St. Louis Zen is definitely one of the best. The food is great and best of all the price is really inexpensive. The portions is good and the food comes out relatively quickly. However, when it gets busy it's very clear the kitchen gets backed up making the food come out dramatically slower than usual. The service is usually good here. Everyone is nice and cheerful. I would definitely recommend Zen.”

“I love coming here for special occasions, but this time the service just wan't up to standards. We ended up being at the restaurant 2 hours! It was about 30 minutes in when we finally got bread at the table. We had to wait an hour for our main meals to arrive while other tables that came in after us received their steaks first. The waiter was great for the first portion of the stay, but then he seemed to disappear. Then about five minutes or so after we received our dinners the buss person came around and asked if we were finished! I told him...um...no...we JUST got our meal after an hour wait! They gave us a complimentary cake for a birthday and then we saw they charged us for it on the bill. They took it off right away, but still, why ring it up as a $6.95 charge when it says clearly "complimentary" on the ticket's description? It just seemed to be one thing after the other this time. On a more positive note though, the food, as always was wonderful. I've never had a bad meal there, but the service and time frame is definitely lacking big time for a high-priced restaurant.”

“Good food even though it wasn’t the “traditional American” version I’m used to. It’s very inexpensive! And the restaurant was clean and the lady behind the counter was friendly. I ordered Cashew chicken lunch special (default comes with dark meat; $1 up-charge for white meat). My meal was good and the chicken was fried (default option), however, this isn’t the traditional cashew chicken I’m used too. That’s the only reason I didn’t give the restaurant a 5 star rating. I think since I ordered at lunch time, maybe they prep a similar cook technique for all meals and add sauces as desired?! Again, it was good and there’s plenty of food for just $5.50!”

“Jimmy John's is the only restaurant that has ever made me go "I like these sandwiches so much that I entertain the idea of opening a franchise just so I can be around them all the time." They really are that good. They need to get away from the "freaky fast" thing. The sandwiches are made promptly. I could even describe them as fast. But not freaky fast. "Freaky prompt"? That is unwieldy but more accurate.”

Do NOT go to the Subway in Sunset Hills Plaza, the owner and his wife are the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life. “Ordered the shrimp and crab meal . It was $28 plus tax. I got all the way home to realize that they put absolutely no seasoning on my food. Only parsley was on my food. I had to add my own old bay seasoning. I could also barely taste honey garlic butter . Tasted more like regular butter. I still ate it of course but for $31 I’m gonna need the works!”
