“Plant Craft Kitchen I had a really awesome, personalized vegan pizza here, but what really made the experience top notch was the excellent service. I ordered a personal pizza with an array of toppings. The price was very reasonable, in fact, given the portion size, it was one of the best deals I’ve seen for a vegan pizza in a while. The pizza was cooked just how I like it, chewy on the inside with just a bit of crunch on the crust. The toppings were fresh and generous with the amounts. I’d describe the pizza as having a mid-thickness (not thin, but not deep dish) and for someone with a big appetite, the pizza was enough to fill me up. The server was very friendly and made me feel welcome in the restaurant. I learned a little bit about the history of the kitchen and he took the time to ask me about my day. I happen to be wrapping up a cross-country road trip, trying vegan food in different cities, and this meal was one of the best of my voyage. Thank you for providing a great, vegan dining experience, even if I was only stopping by, briefly, for takeout!”

“Went to the Elks to see the St. Louis Banjo Club play. It happens every month. It's free to attend a d they have super cheap drinks ($2.50 bottled beer) the food is pretty decent also at good prices. The Banjo Club night is fun with sing along songs. You should try it!”

“The food is always exceptionally prepared and has a wonderful flavor. Their egg drop and hot four soups are the best I've ever had and a l highly recommended them. I don't know how they do it but their hot tea stays hit throughout the entire meal. The staff is very attentive and friendly. As to the price, you can't beat it...you definitely get your money's worth. I've been a customer for over 15 years and everyone I take here becomes a huge fan too!”

“I ordered the all you can eat pancakes. The pancakes were not fluffy, but they were hot and the refill came out before I was finished with the first order. Our waitress took a good 5 minutes before coming to our table to take our order. After bringing over my second plate, she went to a table around the corner and took 20 minutes telling them about her friend and birthday. I had to ask another waitress for a to-go container and check.”

“A lovely place. Clean, well decorated, comfortable. Delicious, professionally prepared-to-order steaks. Salads are acceptable, although not imaginative nor are the sides and veggies. Pork chops are well-prepared and tasty. If you need fish, forget about it. This is a steakhouse, it's all about the meat. Not the best choice for vegetarians or those with specific dietary requirements. I've recently had gastric surgery, not the best place to go. However, I did find a lovely creamed potato soup there. It was absolutely scrumptious! Good dessert selection and well-made iced tea. Servings staff unfailingly attentive and always happy to be helpful. Nicely kept-up restrooms. Average wine selection, but lovely frozen Margaritas.”

“My husband and I stopped at Helen Fitzgerald's Irish Grill & Pub for lunch on a recent trip to St. Louis. The food was great, but the service left more to be desired. Our waitress was simply not friendly. She also got our drink orders wrong, which would have been fine if she had been a bit more friendly. We had to hunt her down when we were ready to leave (after waiting about 15 minutes for a ticket after we finished our food). I think they just didn't have enough waitresses to staff the place because there was a banquet room full of people for a birthday party. The food, however, was delicious. I had the Irish beef stew and my husband had the roast beef on cheesy garlic bread. We both really enjoyed our dishes.”

While we were there three people came in separately and must be regulars as the women behind the counter greeted them with , "Morning. Will you be having your usual." That simple greeting makes all the difference!”

“I came in with a special friend who has a wheelchair and eats from a g-tube. We both came into eat. We were greeted with a smile and help with the door from an employee named Dani I do believe. She was super sweet. As we were eating another employee. I do believe her name was Shelly engaged my friend as he was eating. She treated him with kindness and compassion. This was a fantastic experience for my friend and I. All too often we are either ignored or stared at. This was a wonderful visit where we were accepted and appreciated. Thank you both! “I went in on probably one of the most busiest days of the year I didn't even know that social media what is an all an uproar over whose chicken sandwich was the best Chick-fil-A or Popeyes well I have to say I waited a half an hour for my sandwich my dad and my brothers but it was well worth the wait everyone was in such a great mood to workers kept their heads on kept their calm kept their cool and the sandwiches were perfect I definitely vote Popeyes!”

“I got the half rack of ribs and the beef brisket. The ribs were a generous portion and very meaty not too fatty. The ribs had good flavor but a little salty for my taste, however they put a glaze on top that is sweet and delicious. The beef brisket had excellent flavor and was very tender despite being cooked medium well because I like my beef brisket medium pink. The potato salad was a mayonnaise and mustard base which was delicious. The green beans were soft and bland.”
