Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

Crazy busy Sunday afternoon meant a long wait! Food was excellent, fried chicken lightly beaded and cooked in peanut oil was crispy, juicy and very flavorful. Greens and Mac were dead on. We'll be back!

Fantastic chicken, it's always the perfect balance of flavorful, juicy, and crispy. They ONLY have SPICY chicken, which is perfect for my family, but be forewarned. I love the greens, Mac n' cheese, and fried okra. Everything is priced affordably. Great tea. I'd eat here every single day I could.

Shared a 16 piece dark set with 3 other hungry people and still had leftovers! Loved the subtle spice and flavor. Not as crunchy as I wanted, but their flavor and tenderness was incredible! Would definitely come back and get some of this chicken! However, we got put on hold on the phone and waited for 5 minutes before hanging up and calling back only to have someone help us right away. This place is b-u-s-y understandably so we got this to go and enjoyed it at home.

Excellent- hot, juicy and just enough spice to make it the best chicken ever!! Long drive but worth every minute of it. Can't wait to go back!!

Fried tomatoes weren't the best I've ever had and the fries were ehhh. But the chicken was excellent, cooked perfectly, nice crunch with a spicy kick but not too over powering. The okra was fresh and crisp not mushy. My husband said the coleslaw was on point. The homemade pies are amazing. We tried the pecan and the coconut and they did not disappoint. The coconut is probably the best I have EVER had. Glad we just happened to drive by and decide to try it.
