We also travel throughout the country and Canada in our RV. We visited Blueberry Hill after spending the day at the zoo. I had a Green Tea, and later sampled a "Moose Drool" craft beer. The Green Tea was made with Jameson's Irish Whiskey. The Moose Drool was a dark ale and quite tasty with no bitterness.
My husband enjoyed his Fish & Chips. I enjoyed a well-made Reuben that had the right amounts of corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing.
The memorabilia in Blueberry Hill is amazing. We thought it was like eating in a museum, and it brought back a lot of memories, even from our kids' generation. (Think Madonna, the Smurfs, etc.)
Park on the street, if you're lucky enough to find a space. If not, there is a parking lot across the street (we parked there) as well as a garage close by.
We travel around the country in our RV and like to stop in local restaurants. Chose Blueberry Hill based on their St. Louis history. We were there early afternoon and you could tell it was a fun, quirky place. Appreciated all the memorabilia, photos of famous visitors, and the various rooms. But we did go there to eat and that's what got three stars. We tried the toasted raviolis and enjoyed them ... Hot and crispy and the marinara was tasty. My husband ordered the Shrimp Po Boy special and I had the fish n chips. Both were just ok, nothing we'd make a point of going back for. The fries were a huge disappointment; obviously frozen, not crispy, and I even had a couple that were cold on the inside. All in all, stop in for the decor, enjoy the music but don't expect much from the food.
We had a great time walking around this place and looking at all the memorabilia. Lots of dart boards and they had bubble hockey! Bubble hockey! That actually worked and we played and it was amazing. Bartenders were fun and we had a late night snack that was good.
Chauniece is so great! I have a gluten allergy and she was so accommodating! The food was absolutely amazing, and when we told her, she reported back to the chef, Miss Cat, who was then nice enough to come out and talk to us. Some of the best service I've ever had in my life! We'll definitely be back.
