Hwy 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen

Great local restaurant serving authentic food found along Highway 61 from St. Louis to New Orleans. While not the healthiest, the food is consistently tasty and service is fast and friendly. It's been celebrated several times by the Food Network and other publications for the food and atmosphere.

Try them for happy hour, Wed-Fri from 3:00 to 6:30, when appetizers are 1/2 price and most drinks are discounted. Be sure to sign up for their frequent diner program before your visit to take advantage of the special pricing as well as other offers sent each month.

I work nearby and have been a regular here for years. The food is fantastic and they are not afraid to experiment with new items from time to time, though you can't go wrong with their classics (roadhouse fries are a must). No matter what you get it will have great flavor. They have reasonable drink prices and good happy hour specials! They have many different events that they host as well from live music to weekly trivia. Finally, the staff is friendly, helpful, and there to help you enjoy yourself and have a good time!

This is one of our places to go in the St. Louis area! My wife and I look forward to each experience here. The food is outstanding! It’s incredible Cajun style food with some other influences as well. It is truly some of the best food you will find in our area. I personally love the Cajun nachos and the Bourbon Street Chicken. The decor and atmosphere is eclectic and very fun. The live music adds life and spirit to the place as well. I recommend this place to everyone.

I saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and have been trying to check it out. Was finally able to do so and was not disappointed! The entree was delicious as were the sides. Also they have live music on the weekends. And the band was great playing classic rock and blues. I will definitely be going back and recommending it to other as well.
