Blackthorn Pub and Pizza

Best pizza I have ever had. Kind of a long wait but that is to be expected, and definitely worth it every time!

So I say to my son, how about some Chicago style pizza. He says how about Blackthorn. We order on the phone and go to pick up the two heaviest pizzas I have ever held. Open them up and you know why. Tons of cheese!. Believe me when I tell you that one piece is enough for an adult. We could only almost finish one of the two pizzas and we had six people. Really unique and delicious pizza.

Blackthorn is an unassuming bar on the corner. If you're not paying attention you will drive right past. Parking isn't that great so be prepared for a short walk.
Takeout is very popular, the line never ends. The atmosphere is laid back and very relaxing. Dante was running the bar by himself and provided excellent service.
We had the Chicago style pizza w/6 toppings.
The wait was about an hour but, worth it. I highly recommend a visit for the pizza alone.
Pro tips: The menu is at the bar, help yourself. Ordering is at the bar, there may be a line to the door. Also, plates and silverware are around the corner. Seat yourself.

Great little neighborhood bar with character and excellent Chicago style deep dish pizza. Good local beer selection with reasonable beer prices. It takes about 45 min to make the pizza so you can order it before you get there. Love the pizza will be back.
