I heard that they will cater for our office next week but I will miss it so I decided to give it a try tonight. The spicy chicken out sandwich with Krazy Korean sauce had some serious spice. I enjoyed it but my stomach probably didn't. Fries are decent. They also have Kale salad, which is the healthiest option on the menu I believe. Kale is Kale though, lol. Will go back to try some other things later.
This was my first time here. I mainly came because I have a vegan friend that heard that they have an option for them. They do indeed have the Fauxhawk sandwich that does not use meat. I didn't try it, but she seemed happy about it. I got one of the spicy sandwiches and onion rings. I thought that it was a good meal overall. However, expectations should be set. This is a fast food diner style atmosphere. Also, I felt the prices were pretty high for what we got. That said, the sauce selection was welcome and the service was very friendly.
I don't think the lady working there treated me as a first time person right. She was short on giving me the lowdown on what she had to offer. The desert for one there was no crowd so she had time. She made me feel like I don't want to come back.
Chicken Out opened in the Delmar Loop over the Summer of 2020, so the restaurant is a relative newcomer to the St. Louis food scene. We finally visited for the first time over the weekend, and were happy with our first experience there. As you walk in you'll see bold, colorful displays and a casual dining room. The floor plan is convenient - the drink and carry out counter is located near the front door, with the ordering window close by.
My husband ordered the The Spicy Chicken Out with a side of crinkle fries, and I opted for the 5 Finger Discount with a side of the house and ranch sauces. The chicken tenders had a nice, flaky batter and were crispy. I was surprised by how much I liked the crinkle fries - they were well seasoned with pepper and "chicken salt".
Overall the seasoning wasn't as complex as some other local chicken joints, but I definitely enjoyed my meal and look forward to returning to try more their offerings.
Hands down, their Chicken Parma sandwich was the best Chicken sandwich I had in years, easily. And I've had chicken sandwiches from everywhere I could find them. The chicken was thick, juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection! Their crinkle fries were packed with flavor too. A tiny bit pricier than most fast food, but it is SO WORTH IT! You definitely get more than your money's worth!
Forget your big chain food joints. None of them even come close to this kind of quality!
