Very good and the staff is extremely efficient. Although the tables are close together, the atmosphere is still very nice. Food was good, although I have had better Alfredo sauce (tried it, but wasn't my order). The seafood dish I had was tasty.
Great food and service, with a homelike feel. Like your grandmother would be in the kitchen, making her "special gravy" and cursing your grandfather, also she might be drinking. So while the menu is sophisticated the ambiance is not.
The food was good, not great. Our waitress asked if we wanted salad with dinner, we said yes. It was very expensive for what we received. Salad seemed like it came out of a giant container of premixed ingredients, was a little wilted, did not taste fresh. We asked for diet sodas to drink, it was served in 6oz glasses full of ice. We had the meat ravioli and eggplant strips. It was good but nothing to rave about. Service was adequate. The side of the restaurant where we were seated felt like we were seated in a meat locker. It was cold and you could tell others around us were freezing.
This is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. My family and I still reserve this place for special occasions even though we have been going here for 35 years. I have yet to have anything here I haven't absolutely loved. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is as authentic as it gets. Truly a staple on The Hill. Grab some toasted raviolis! Cheers!
Fantastic as always! My favorite restaurant in St Louis and surrounding metro area. Consistent, friendly, delicious. My go to for a special occasion and everyday.
